Chaiveni began seventy‑five years ago during a drought in Neve, when a family set a tea leaf afloat in a paper boat as an act of hope. By morning, the rains returned, and the gesture became a symbol of renewal. Today, the festival continues this tradition—“tea to return”—as families gather to honor the river and give back to what sustains them.

Story/ Concept

While the overall identity and story of the City of Neve were shaped collaboratively as apart of a graphics final, each designer contributed to their own section.

My objective was to design the cities festival in a way that honored the shared narrative while adding unique visual and conceptual details that expanded Neve’s identity. I wanted Chaiveni to feel like a living tradition—one where symbolism, storytelling, and community participation all play a role. I wanted to explore how symbolic gestures can drive visual identity, using the simple act of sending a tea leaf downstream as the heart of an entire festival experience.
